In case of an accident
If you are involved in an accident with a third party and it is still at the scene:
- If possible, move the vehicles to the side of the road and turn on your hazard lights to alert other drivers.
- Then, check if anyone is injured and if necessary, call for medical assistance.
- Next, exchange information with the other driver, including names, addresses, phone numbers, insurance details, and fill out an accident report.
- It's a good idea to take pictures of the accident scene, including damages to both vehicles and the surrounding areas, and gather contact information from any witnesses.
- Contact the owner of the vehicle to inform them of the accident.
If the third party is not present, take photos of the accident scene, including damages to the vehicle and the surrounding areas. Contact the owner of the vehicle.
If the vehicle cannot be moved, contact KARAM's emergency hotline to report the incident, receive additional instructions, and assistance.
The owner will make an online declaration of the accident on the KARAM website. We will contact you if you need to provide us with a declaration of the accident. If you are not responsible for the accident, you will not have anything to pay. If you are responsible for the accident or the responsible third party is not identified, your deductible will apply and processing fees will be charged.
