Can I rent a car from KARAM?
To rent a car from KARAM, you need to meet certain conditions so that the rental can be covered by our insurance. You can rent a car if:
- You have a valid driver's license in the country where you want to rent the car, and it is original (we cannot accept statements of theft, copies or temporary driver's licenses). If you have a foreign driver's license, additional documents may be required (more information here).
- You meet the age and experience requirements of the driver's license of the car you want to rent.
- To be insured by our insurance, you must also:
- Stay in the allowed European countries: a full list can be found here.
Be present at the beginning and end of the rental. - Do not use the car for commercial transport of people, such as taxis. However, you can carpool with the cost of fuel.
There are different rules for access depending on the categories of cars (Economy, Comfort, Premium), which will be indicated in the car description during your reservation. Learn more about insurance deductibles.
For cars registered in Bulgaria:
- Category "Standard": you must have at least 2 years of valid driver's license.
- Category "Premium": you must have at least 5 years of valid driver's license.
- Category "Luxury": you must have at least 7 years of valid driver's license.
For cars registered in another country other than Bulgaria:
- Category "Standard": you must be at least 21 years old and have 2 years of valid driver's license.
- Category "Premium": you must be at least 25 years old and have 2 years of valid driver's license.
- Category "Luxury": you must be at least 28 years old and have 2 years of valid driver's license.
