Adding personal information

It is very important that the personal information you enter is accurate, as it is used to generate the rental agreement. Your account is personal and cannot be loaned to a friend or family member who wants to rent: they must create a separate account.

At the beginning of the rental, the information entered into the agreement will be compared by the owner to that on your driver's license and credit card: in case of any discrepancies, the rental will be refused.

There are only a few exceptions:  

• If your maiden name, as stated on your driver's license, is different from your name on the credit card, you will need to provide your marital status or a document containing your maiden name and family name to the owner at the beginning of the rental. 
• If your first or last name is too long and has been shortened on your credit card, you must provide additional identification that contains your full name to the owner at the beginning of the rental.

To update your name, surname, date of birth, driver's license number, or other personal information, please visit My Profile> Edit My Profile. Your profile can be changed at any time as long as the rental terms are not violated.

How to correctly fill in the information on my driver's license?

When booking a car, be sure to provide the correct information about your driver's license.

• Driver's license number
• Date of issue For most European driver's licenses.

For other types of driver's licenses, you must specify the date from which you are authorized to drive vehicles from the categories offered by KARAM.
