Cancellation Policy
KARAM has a cancellation policy that allows customers to cancel their reservation up to 48 hours before the scheduled pick-up time without incurring any fees. If you cancel your reservation less than 48 hours before the scheduled pick-up time, KARAM may charge a cancellation fee of up to 50% of the rental price.
If you cancel your reservation after the scheduled pick-up time or fail to pick up the car without prior notice, KARAM may charge the full rental amount as a cancellation fee. Customers who do not provide valid identification or a valid credit card at the time of pick-up may have their reservation canceled and be charged a cancellation fee.
If you wish to cancel your reservation, you must do so through the KARAM website or mobile application. Once the cancellation is confirmed, KARAM will refund any rental fees already paid, but will charge a cancellation fee.
It is important to note that some reservations may be subject to different cancellation policies depending on the location of the rental or the type of car. Please carefully review the general terms and conditions of your reservation before making a request to understand the cancellation policy and any related fees.
If the car rental is canceled due to an issue on the car owner's side, KARAM's policy states that the customer is entitled to a full refund of all paid rental fees, including applicable taxes and fees. This can occur in situations where the car owner cancels the reservation when the car is not available for pick-up due to maintenance or repair issues, or if the car is not as described in the advertisement.
In such cases, KARAM will try to find a replacement car for the customer or offer a refund if there is no available replacement car. The customer may also have the option to reschedule the rental for a later date, provided there is an available car.
If you have any objections to cancellation fees, you can request a refund within 24 hours of cancellation to stop payment to the car owner. After this period, it will not be possible to initiate a dispute and you will need to resolve the issue directly with the owner.
KARAM users can cancel their car rental in the event of force majeure circumstances, which refer to unforeseeable events that make it impossible to fulfill the rental agreement. Some examples of force majeure events include natural disasters, wars, strikes, and government actions that prevent the rental.
If you need to cancel your rental due to force majeure circumstances, you should contact the car owner as soon as possible to inform them of the situation. The owner may require proof of the force majeure event, such as news or an official notice from a government agency.
If the cancellation is due to force majeure circumstances, the KARAM user may be entitled to a full refund of the rental price. However, the KARAM platform may charge a cancellation fee or withhold part of the rental price to cover any costs incurred by the owner, such as lost rental income or expenses related to preparing the car for rental.
If you have any additional questions or issues regarding cancellation, customers can contact the KARAM customer support team through the website or mobile application.
