Beginning of the rental period
When starting the rental period for a car like KARAM, the following steps are usually involved:
- Reservation confirmation: The user must first make a reservation and receive confirmation from the car owner that it is available for the desired rental period.
- Meet and greet: The user and the car owner will agree to meet at the agreed location to exchange the car keys. The car owner will usually check the driver's license and the user's identity during this meeting. All documents presented by the user must be original; copies are not accepted. A declaration of a stolen or lost document is not accepted. Only the person who made the reservation with KARAM can take the car.
- Payment: No payments or deposits are accepted directly from the user. All payments are made in advance on the KARAM website.
- Car inspection and handover: The car owner and the user will inspect the car together to ensure it is in the agreed condition and document the initial mileage and fuel level. The car owner will then hand over the keys to the user.
- Rental period: The user can use the car for the agreed rental period, provided all conditions specified in the rental agreement are met.
- Return of the car: At the end of the rental period, the user will return the car to the agreed location in the same condition it was rented.
- Car inspection and return: The car owner will then inspect the car for any damages or issues and document them.
Following these steps can help ensure a smooth and hassle-free car rental experience for both the user and the car owner.
